During this year’s Computex, MSI unveiled the MEG Vision X2 AI Plus, a gaming desktop that introduces a proprietary hardware-integrated AI system. The tower features what the company describes as a "first-of-its-kind AI Holostage," a cylindrical display interface built directly into the chassis designed to house an agentic AI companion.

MSI’s proprietary agent, "LuckyClaw," is set to be available from the system's first-time setup. The avatar is depicted as a pudgy red dragon equipped with lobster-style gauntlets. MSI claims the design of the gauntlets may serve as a thematic nod to OpenClaw, an existing open-source LLM-based AI agent.

Functionally, LuckyClaw is intended to provide hands-free control over the PC’s internal settings. According to MSI, the agent responds to natural speech commands to manage performance profiles, adjust MSI monitor settings, and modify RGB lighting configurations. The company states that future skill updates will allow the agent to grow alongside the user, continuously expanding its capabilities over time.

MSI is positioning this integration as a fundamental shift in human-computer interaction. The company stated that the goal is to transform the gaming PC "from a passive device into a living, interactive presence." Beyond the native LuckyClaw avatar, MSI’s press release suggests that the platform will eventually support a variety of digital companions, desktop pets, and custom third-party AI avatars.

Despite the promotional focus on the AI interface, technical specifications for the underlying hardware remain limited. MSI has confirmed that the MEG Vision X2 AI Plus will ship with Intel CPUs and Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics cards, though the company has not yet provided specific component model numbers, pricing, or a confirmed release date.

The integration has prompted debate regarding the necessity of AI-driven performance management. Some industry observers, including reports from PC Gamer, have expressed skepticism about granting an AI agent direct control over a rig's performance settings, noting that the "unholy union" between AI and hardware raises questions about the utility of such features for standard desktop operation.
