Samsung is raising prices across several of its flagship Galaxy smartphone and tablet models, according to data first reported by Phone Arena.
The price adjustments primarily target higher-capacity storage tiers for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy S25 FE, and Galaxy S25 Edge. While the base models for these devices remain at their original price points, users opting for larger storage capacities will face increases of up to $80.
Specifically, the 512GB Galaxy Z Flip 7 has moved from $1,219.99 to $1,299.99. The 256GB Galaxy S25 FE saw a jump from $709.99 to $749.99, and the 512GB Galaxy S25 Edge rose from $1,219.99 to $1,299.99.
Tablet and laptop price increases
The price hikes extend beyond smartphones to the company's tablet lineup, where increases apply regardless of storage capacity. The 128GB Galaxy Tab S11 now costs $899.99, up from $799.99, while the 256GB Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra rose from $1,199.99 to $1,299.99.
Even budget-friendly options are seeing upward movement. The 128GB Galaxy Tab A11 Plus increased from $249.99 to $299.99, and the Galaxy Tab S10 FE moved from $499.99 to $549.99.
Industry analysts point to a global memory shortage as the primary driver for these changes. The scarcity is driving up the cost of RAM and NAND flash memory, the essential components used in SSD production.
Samsung is not alone in this trend. The company raised prices for its Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Book 6 Ultra last week. Microsoft also implemented price increases for its Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models earlier this week.
