Ecovacs has officially released the Deebot X12 OmniCyclone, a new autonomous cleaner featuring advanced AI capabilities designed to tackle stubborn floor messes. The device integrates computer vision and specialized hardware to improve cleaning efficiency in a single pass.
Using a combination of cameras and AI, the X12 OmniCyclone identifies specific dried stains, such as spilled soda or muddy paw prints. Once a stain is detected, the robot blasts a mixture of water and cleaning solution onto the spot to soften the debris before the roller mop begins scrubbing.
Enhanced cleaning hardware
The new model features a wider 10.6-inch roller mop supported by a 32-channel pressurized clean water spray system. To manage transitions between floor types, the robot utilizes a new Mop Roller Smart Cover that deploys when the unit moves from hard surfaces to carpet to prevent water drips.
Ecovacs also increased the machine's suction power to 22,000Pa, up from the 19,500Pa found in the previous X11 model. The company updated its ZeroTangle technology to further reduce hair wrap around the spinning brush, aiming to decrease manual maintenance for users.
The X12 OmniCyclone includes an OMNI Station dock that automates several maintenance tasks. The dock empties the robot's dirt bin into a bagless canister, refills water reservoirs, and washes the rolling mop using heated, pressurized water.
Charging capabilities remain a core feature of the ecosystem. Following the design of the Deebot X11 OmniCyclone, the dock can replenish 13 percent of the X12's battery life in just three minutes. The robot also receives a battery top-up every time it returns to the dock, allowing it to clean up to 1,000 square meters on a single charge cycle.
The Deebot X12 OmniCyclone is available starting today via Amazon and the Ecovacs online store for $1,499.
