Footage from the upcoming animated film Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender leaked online this week after a user shared what they claim was an accidental email from Nickelodeon.
Twitter user @ImStillDissin posted a clip from the Paramount+ original, alleging the studio sent the footage by mistake. The leak was initially dismissed as a hoax until the content faced a copyright strike, confirming its authenticity.
Clips spread across social platforms
Despite efforts by Paramount to issue takedowns, fragments of the movie are circulating widely on platforms like TikTok. Users are currently sharing snippets of the film, including footage featuring adult versions of Zuko and Katara.
The leaked clips provide a preview of several new characters and voice talent. The footage features Dave Bautista, known for his roles in Guardians of the Galaxy, voicing an airbender named Tagah.
Taika Waititi also appears in the leaked segments as the character Gorillavark. The footage also highlights a recent casting shift, as the production recast main characters to better align with the ethnic backgrounds of the original series' cast.
The film, which was originally intended for a theatrical release, is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ this October. The leak occurs as the Avatar franchise expands with several other projects, including the upcoming series Seven Havens.
