Nintendo is set to bolster its Switch 2 library this June with a diverse slate of six major titles, according to a report from Polygon. While the industry typically focuses on summer trade events, the outlet noted that Switch 2 owners will have a packed release schedule to navigate throughout the month.
The month begins with Square Enix’s "Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth" on June 3. Following the January release of the first chapter, "Remake," this sequel offers a more expansive world and a variety of minigames. Polygon reported that the title is already a favorite among PlayStation 5 players.
On June 11, players will see the release of "To a T," developed by Keita Takahashi, the creator of "Katamari Damacy." The game follows a teenager stuck in a T-pose, serving as a surreal exploration of disability and social difference. It features a strange world populated by talking dogs and flying mechanics.
Indie standouts and RPG expansions
The mid-month schedule includes two unique titles. "Denshattack!" arrives on June 17, allowing players to perform stunts and kickflips on high-speed trains in a post-apocalyptic Japan. One day later, on June 18, Square Enix will launch "The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales." This hack-and-slash RPG utilizes the publisher’s signature HD-2D aesthetic and incorporates time-travel mechanics.
On June 23, the industry will see the launch of "Wanderstop." Developed by Ivy Road, the title explores themes of burnout through the story of a fighter working at a tea shop. Polygon noted the release carries a somber tone, as the studio was forced to close earlier this year before the game’s debut.
The month concludes on June 26 with a major Nintendo release: a remake of "Star Fox 64." The reimagined space shooter features updated visuals and a full orchestral soundtrack. The outlet highlighted that the game remains a personal favorite of creator Shigeru Miyamoto, who oversaw the original franchise.
