Aardman Unveils Custom Typeface, Buttered Crumpet, for Wallace & Gromit Franchise
Aardman Animations has commissioned a new proprietary typeface named Buttered Crumpet to unify the visual identity across all Wallace & Gromit media. Designed by a Bristol-based typographer, the font aims to convey warmth and character consistent with the beloved stop-motion duo. The design draws inspiration from early sketches while incorporating playful, tactile elements referencing Aardman's creative output.
