Major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, and the Google Store have dropped the price of the Google Pixel 10A by $50. This marks the first cash discount for the midrange smartphone since its release in early March.
The 128GB model, available in several colors including a 'berry' tone, now retails for $449. The 256GB version has also seen a price reduction, bringing its cost down to $549.
While the device shares the Tensor G4 processor and a dual-lens camera setup with last year's Pixel 9A, the 10A offers specific hardware and software advantages. It features a brighter screen, faster wired charging, and support for Satellite SOS.
New AI features drive value
Google has integrated two specific AI-powered tools into the 10A that are absent from its predecessor. These features, known as Camera Coach and Auto Best Take, are part of the premium Pixel 10 series software suite.
Despite these upgrades, the 10A maintains a similar hardware profile to the 9A. However, the 10A remains the more viable purchase as the 9A's software support is scheduled to end a year earlier and it currently carries a higher price tag at most retailers.
Other tech deals are also surfacing alongside the Pixel discount. Sony's WF-1000XM6 wireless earbuds have returned to a $298 price point at Amazon and Best Buy, matching their previous all-time low.
In the PC hardware market, Micro Center is offering a budget-friendly AMD bundle. The $299.99 package includes a Ryzen 5 7500X3D processor, an AM5-socket motherboard, and 16GB of G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5 RAM.
