Developer Sunblink is rolling out a roadmap for players looking to transition into the City Town expansion for Hello Kitty Island Adventure. The update adds a new urban-themed biome to the game’s existing island setting.

To access the new content, players must first reach friendship level 11 with Hello Kitty. The developer explicitly notes this requirement to ensure players do not encounter progression walls upon the update's release.

Optimizing island resources

Beyond basic friendship levels, Sunblink advises players to stockpile essential resources. Specifically, players should focus on gathering extra crafting materials and gift items, as the new area introduces vendors and characters that require specific trade goods.

"Focus on clearing out your current quest logs and maximizing your resource inventory," the development team stated in a recent community update. This ensures that when the City Town map opens, players can immediately engage with the new storyline rather than grinding for base materials.

Players should also ensure their game client is updated to the latest version. The expansion requires the most recent patch for the new assets to load correctly. Sunblink confirmed that the update will be pushed simultaneously across all supported platforms, including mobile and PC, to maintain parity for the player base.

The City Town expansion introduces a departure from the traditional tropical environment of the base game. It features a dense, multi-level urban layout designed to test traversal mechanics. Players who have invested time in unlocking fast-travel nodes will find these shortcuts particularly useful as they navigate the new district.

Sunblink has not yet confirmed the exact release time for the update beyond the current launch window. The studio expects to provide a final countdown timer on their official social media channels 24 hours prior to the rollout.
