Outerloop Games has revealed Dosa Divas, a new turn-based narrative RPG scheduled for release on April 14, 2026. The title will launch across Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5.

Developed by the studio behind 202/3’s Thirsty Suitors, the game follows sisters Amani and Samara. The duo embarks on a mission to dismantle a corporate food empire known as Linaworks while rebuilding their community through cooking.

Players explore the island of Meyndish, gathering unique ingredients to craft recipes via interactive minigames. Successful cooking provides consumables that restore health, boost stats, or cure status ailments during battle.

Flavor-based combat mechanics

Combat features a specialized system where characters use flavor categories—such as spicy, sweet, or sour—instead of traditional elemental types. Players control Samara, Amani, and a massive mech named Goddess to exploit enemy weaknesses.

Success in battle relies on precise timing, similar to mechanics seen in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Effective timing allows players to break enemy shields and induce a 'stuffed' state, leaving opponents vulnerable to massive damage.

Outerloop Games has included accessibility options to assist players who struggle with the timing-heavy inputs. These features allow for the simplification or automation of both combat maneuvers and cooking minigames.

Beyond combat, the game includes a progression system tied to regional reputation. Completing community tasks, such as repairing infrastructure or destroying corporate advertisements, unlocks new tools like the hookshot and drill.

While the game features a polished combat loop, some technical friction remains in the recipe system. Players must manually repeat minigames for previously made dishes, as the UI lacks a streamlined recreation feature.

With an estimated runtime of 8 to 10 hours, Dosa Divas offers a condensed RPG experience focused on narrative and culinary exploration.
