GameStop plans to expand its digital Power Packs program to the general public on April 15, 2026, according to an announcement from the retailer's X account.
The digital trading card platform, which allows users to purchase randomized tiers of PSA-graded Pokémon cards, will move beyond its current limited access.
Digital card tiers and odds
The service first debuted in early 2025 as a physical product through a partnership with the authenticity company PSA. In July 2025, GameStop introduced a beta version of the digital service.
Users can participate in a digital 'spin the wheel' mechanic across six different tiers. These tiers range from a $25 'Starter' pack to a $2,500 'Lunar' pack.
GameStop advertises that the highest-tier Lunar pack offers a chance to win a PSA 10 graded Celebi #145 from the Pokémon Skyridge set, which carries an estimated value of $31,332. However, the company's website notes that users have only a 29.4 percent combined chance of winning a card worth more than $2,500.
Through the PSA partnership, customers can choose to have physical cards shipped to them or sell them back to GameStop via the PSA Vault. While the retailer has not specified the availability of cards in the lower-priced tiers, the platform's mechanics mirror digital gambling structures.
While the announcement specifies the launch is for the 'general public,' the service is expected to remain limited to users within the United States.
