Games Workshop and boutique publisher SNEG have announced the launch of Warhammer Classics, a new label bringing over 20 retro Warhammer titles to PC. The collection, featuring both returning favorites and seven new debuts, is now available on the Steam digital storefront, according to polygon.com.

The collection spans several decades of the franchise's history, ranging from real-time strategy and turn-based tactics to first-person shooters and fantasy sports titles like Bloodbowl. Many of these titles are being remastered to ensure accessibility on modern hardware.

Oleg Klapovskiy, Director at SNEG, described the initiative as a way to preserve the franchise's digital heritage. "Warhammer Classics is more than a collection of re-releases. It’s a clear statement of intent: that Warhammer’s foundational games matter, and that they are worth preserving, celebrating, and reintroducing to a global PC audience," Klapovskiy said.

Klapovskiy added that the project aims to safeguard titles that might otherwise be lost to outdated hardware. He noted that SNEG is committed to ensuring the PC platform remains central to the long-term stewardship of these games.

A diverse roster of retro titles

The lineup includes a wide array of legendary titles such as Warhammer: Dark Omen, Space Hulk, and Dawn of War - Anniversary Edition. The collection also features several entries from the Talisman series and the Blood Bowl franchise.

Some of the specific titles included in the launch are Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate, Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat, and Man O' War: Corsair. The list also extends to more niche titles like Chainsaw Warrior and Dark Future: Blood Red States.

Polygon.com reports that all titles within the collection will feature limited-time discounts and curated bundles for one week only. The Warhammer Classics bundle is currently available for purchase on Steam.
