Battlestate Games founder Nikita Buyanov has assured the community that his upcoming science fiction shooter will not compromise the future of Escape from Tarkov. The developer addressed player concerns regarding his studio's focus following the reveal of a new project.
According to a report from PC Gamer, Buyanov emphasized his commitment to the existing hardcore extraction shooter. He stated that there is enough room in his heart for both titles to succeed simultaneously.
Players of the popular tactical shooter have frequently expressed anxiety over the possibility of the studio abandoning the game for newer ventures. The announcement of a new IP often signals a shift in resources for smaller development teams.
Balancing two titles
Buyanov's reassurance aims to stabilize a player base that is sensitive to changes in development roadmaps. The developer intends to manage both projects without letting the quality of Tarkov slip.
"Tarkov for life," Buyanov reportedly declared, attempting to quell fears of a permanent transition away from the gritty, realistic combat simulator.
While the specifics of the new sci-fi project remain limited, the studio's leadership maintains that the core team remains dedicated to the Tarkov ecosystem. The developer continues to oversee updates and expansions for the established title alongside the groundwork for the new universe.
