Crypto.com will co-present a UFC combat sports event on the White House grounds on June 14, marking America's 250th birthday. The cryptocurrency exchange announced a $1 million bonus pool for fighters, distributed entirely in CRO tokens.
This event, titled UFC Freedom 250, coincides with the 10th anniversary of the crypto exchange. The bonus pool represents approximately 14.6 million CRO tokens based on recent trading prices.
“This is the most historic sporting event in history, and it’s a night where every single fight has the potential to be Fight of the Night,” UFC President and CEO Dana White said in a statement. He added that the world will be watching on June 14.
High-stakes championship matchups
The fight card features a lightweight title clash between Ilia Topuria and interim champion Justin Gaethje. Former two-division champion Alex Pereira also seeks a third UFC title in a bout against Ciryl Gane.
Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek noted the significance of the venue and the timing. “I can think of no better way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Crypto.com than by making history at the White House,” Marszalek said.
The partnership between the two entities began in 2021. Since then, the companies have collaborated on official UFC digital collectibles via the Crypto.com platform.
The exchange has also expanded its footprint through integrations with Trump Media & Technology Group. This includes CRO integrations across the Truth Social and Truth+ platforms, as well as joint efforts regarding crypto ETF offerings.
